I admit that most of that is specualtion, but it is grounded in what we see Paradox doing and in what we know about the game. Originally posted by coffeelingfine:Do you have anything to back this up? Sounds like nonsense to me. Since this game breaks their engine anyway, it'd make sense for them to cut losses and get to work on HoI V. The way the reviews are trending isn't sustainable, and I think the fanbase has finally gotten fed up with Paradox. In one of the diaries, they mentioned how other projects had priority over MtG, including Imperator and other DLCs. It is mind bogglingly complex, and recoding that AI for all the new things can't be easy. Do you have anything to back this up? Sounds like nonsense to me. It'll be after CK III and EU V, but it's coming in the near-ish future. With that in mind, I suspect that one of their upcoming projects is HoI V on a new engine, because holy hell Clausewitz is outdated. I'll search where I found that from I'll post after! I found the article I heard they are making a companion to the engine to allow better flexibility because even the artists need to know how to code a small bit. I wouldn't be too surprised if MtG is the last DLC this game receives. ![]() ![]() Despite the large player base, the amount of effort needed to release DLC makes it take too long for them to get significant returns, and a look at the reviews shows that this cash cow is quickly running out of milk. The game pushes their engine to its limits, causing everyone problems, and has more variables for AIs to deal with than other games, making adding content painful.
